Arbor Day Ceremony

Each year, the City of Lebanon in conjunction with Tree City USA, celebrations Arbor Day!  Lebanon Recreation determines if a tree will be planted in the parks, at one of the local schools, or another destination in need of some shade in years to come.

We look forward to another virtual celebration with you this year on Friday, April 30th. The City of Lebanon has been a member of Tree City USA since 2004. The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters.

Trees are assets to our community when properly planted and maintained. They help improve the visual appeal of our neighborhoods, increase property values, reduce home cooling costs, remove air pollutants and provide wildlife habitat, among many other benefits.

Thank you to all those who help make our participation in this program possible!
