Lebanon Designated as Bronze Bicycle Friendly Community
in 2017, The League of American Bicyclists recognized Lebanon with a Bronze Bicycle Friendly Community award. The award recognizes Lebanon’s commitment to improving conditions for bicycling through investment in bicycling promotion, education programs, infrastructure and pro-bicycling policies.
Lebanon Honored as a 2017 Playful City USA Community
In 2017, the City of Lebanon was designated as a Playful City USA for the 3rd time. Playful City USA honors cities and towns across the country for putting the needs of families first so kids can learn, grow and develop important life skills.

Proclamation by Governor John H. Lynch
On July 4, 2011, Governor John Lynch issued the following proclamation stating, "The City of Lebanon has
been repeatedly recognized as the finest small city to live in, providing a high quality of life for all
citizens through quality services, strong schools, and a close-knit community atmosphere; [producing] leaders in politics, medicine, academia and industry who have shared their talents with the State of New Hampshire, the nation, and the world."
