Alzheimer's and Dementia Program
As part of our mission to protect life and to assist the public-at-large in a manner consistent with the rights and dignity of all persons, the Lebanon Police Department has developed an Alzheimer Assistance Program to rapidly respond in the event that an Alzheimer patient should become lost.

Camera Registry Program
The Camera Registry Program allows residents and business owners to register the locations of their video surveillance systems with the City. When a crime occurs, police will be able to identify the locations of nearby video cameras and enlist the assistance of the community to help officers collect video evidence and follow up on leads.

Crisis Intervention
This specialized team provides the department with a group of officers who are able to respond to, and actively engage with, individuals who may be in crisis due to a mental health issue.

Deaf or Hard of Hearing Driver Card
The New Hampshire Deaf or Hard of Hearing Driver Visor Card is a tool that facilitates communication by quickly notifying law enforcement and other emergency responders that a driver is deaf or hard of hearing. The visor card is used by people who are deaf or hard of hearing to communicate with police during traffic stops, helping make interactions safe and easy.

Fingerprinting
The Lebanon Police Department performs fingerprinting services only to the City of Lebanon residents, the Lebanon School District, or for Lebanon businesses.

Pharmaceutical Drop Box & Sharps Container
In order to give residents a safe and environmentally friendly way to dispose of unwanted medications, the Lebanon Police Department has a Pharmaceutical Drop Box and Sharps Disposal Container installed in our lobby.

Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Program
The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women.

Problem Oriented Policing
In 2016, the Lebanon Police Department launched our “Problem Oriented Policing” initiative within the community. This initiative is a department-wide strategy that is dedicated to identifying and solving persistent community problems. Identified issues can be criminal in nature or quality of life issues that are affecting neighborhoods and areas of the City.

Special Needs Information Program
Parents of autistic children and families of loved ones living with mental health or medical disabilities are invited to join the Lebanon Police Department’s new Special Needs Registry, a program to help emergency responders identify and respond to vulnerable residents with special needs.

VIPS Program
The VIPS Program helps local law enforcement agencies with supporting all sworn Officers and non-sworn staff. This program also provides the opportunity for citizens who wish to volunteer their time and skills to help out their community.

Annual Basketball Tournament
The Lebanon Police Department hosts an annual basketball tournament to raise funds for local nonprofit organizations. We look forward to elementary and high school players in the area joining us and making this tournament a success.

Annual Golf Tournament
The Lebanon Police Department hosts an annual golf tournament each July to raise funds to support our youth and community programs. We look forward to corporations, local businesses and individuals in the Upper Valley joining us and making this tournament a success each year.

Bike Rodeo
Lebanon Officers participated in the annual Jim Wechsler Bike Rodeo and register bicycles, talked with community member and more.

Coffee With a Cop
Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members and officers to come together in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships, to ask questions, learn more about the department’s work in Lebanon’s neighborhoods, and drink coffee.

Justice the LPD Mascot
The Lebanon Police Department commissioned BAM Mascots to create our first Lebanon Police Department Mascot! We chose the design of a police working K9 as a tribute to our hard-working police K9s and their handlers. Justice can be seen at community engagement events, schools, and other community activities

K9 Awareness Day
The Lebanon Police Department host several K9 teams from New Hampshire and Vermont and increase awareness of the important work our K9 teams do while raising money for K9 related projects including the Vermont Police Canine Association, where our teams regularly train.

National Night Out
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.
