Project Overview

What is the scope of this project?

The purpose of the project is to replace the Trues Brook Road Bridge to provide a structurally safe bridge that accommodates the design flood events in a cost-effective manner while minimizing environmental impacts, construction duration, and project costs. The new bridge will be widened to provide two 11’ wide lanes and two 5’ wide shoulders. The need for the project is due to the structurally deficient condition of the bridge and concerns that a closure is imminent if the bridge is left as is.

How long is this going to take?

The project is currently under design and will begin construction in Spring 2024.

Which streets are involved?

Streets involved include:

  • Trues Brook Road in the vicinity of Derby Lane

Will my property be affected?

There will be six parcels that will be impacted along the ROW in order to place the temporary bridge and to widen the shoulders.
