All dogs registered by April 30, 2023 with the City were entered into the Top Dog Contest. From these contestants, Mayor Timothy McNamara randomly selected three winners for the Top Dog prize packages. The winners were selected and announced during the May 3rd City Council Meeting and awarded their fabulous prizes on Thursday, June 1, 2023, during the Farmers' Market.
Our 2023 Top Dog Winner is Oberon. Oberon is an Australian Cattle Dog who lives in Lebanon with his owner, Mabel Darling. Oberon will be sporting the City of Lebanon Dog Tag #1 and bragging to his canine friends about the certificate signed by Mayor Timothy McNamara. His photo will be on display for a year at City Hall and on the website. He will also enjoy a one-year supply of dog food, a hiking backpack, and a wonderful gift basket.
Our first runner-up is Lewis, a Nova Scotia Retriever, owned by James Goodman of Lebanon. Lewis will receive Dog Tag #2, a certificate signed by the Mayor, a $100 gift certificate to West Lebanon Feed and Supply, and Lewis' photo displayed at City Hall and on the website.
Our second runner-up is Paco, a Labrador mix, owned by Laura Goudreau of Lebanon. Paco has received Dog Tag #3, a certificate signed by the Mayor, a $50 gift certificate to West Lebanon Feed and Supply, and Paco's photo displayed at City Hall and on the website.
