As part of its mission to create opportunities for public art in the City, the Arts & Culture Commission is partnering with AVA Gallery and Arts Center to have children decorate the Colburn Park fountain cover panels with murals. The murals will be unveiled to the community at the City’s Halloween FunFest on Friday, October 31, and participants and supporters will be recognized during a brief ceremony in Colburn Park.
The Commission is seeking sponsorship donations of $100 for each of the 24 panels to help cover the cost of paint and other supplies necessary in the creation of the murals, as well as the unveiling event.
