On January 12, 2020, an unknown female suspect purchased over a thousand dollars in merchandise using a stolen credit card at various locations throughout West Lebanon. The card is believed to have been stolen from Woodstock, Vermont.
The Lebanon Police Department published a press release requesting assistance in identifying the subject in surveillance photographs. As a result of this press release and upon further investigation, it was determined that the suspect was Emily Sweeney, age 27, of Woodstock, Vermont. A warrant was opened for Sweeney’s arrest.
On Monday, February 10, 2020, Sweeney came to the Lebanon Police Department to turn herself in on the warrant. Sweeney was charged with Credit Card Fraud, a Class B Felony. Sweeney was released on personal recognizance with a Grafton County Superior court date of February 24, 2020.
