[ARCHIVED] Lebanon to Get Super-Fast Electric Car Charging Stations

News from Lebanon Energy

On February 24, Lebanon signed a contract with Electrify America to install an ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging station. The proposed site will be on Taylor Street, across from CCBA, pending all of the site logistics working out. The station will have four individual chargers with the fastest technology now available, up to 350 kW. This will fully charge capable cars within 20-30 minutes.

“Electrify America is delighted to collaborate with the city of Lebanon on this effort, expanding the accessibility of EV fast charging and promoting electric vehicle driving in NH,” said Anthony Lambkin, director of operations for Electrify America.

Electrify America is rolling out these charging stations across the country, and has opened 400 to date.

“This is an opportunity to move our City forward in its attainment of our sustainability goals. The installation of an EV charging station in our downtown area provides options for those seeking to utilize electric vehicles and further adds to the enhancement of the economy of our downtown,” said City Manager Shaun Mulholland.

Lebanon’s Energy and Facilities Manager Tad Montgomery added “Lebanon will be one of the first municipalities in the United States to host a super-fast Electrify America charging station, and we are very excited.” The stations are anticipated to be installed by the 4th quarter of 2021.
