A team of assessors for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), will begin their process to examine all aspects of the Lebanon Police Department’s ability to meet the CALEA standards, which encompasses policy and procedures, management, operations, and support services, June 22 through June 23, 2020.
Verification by a team of two assessors that Lebanon Police Department meets the Commission’s state-of-the-art standards is part of a voluntary process to gain accreditation – a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public call-in session on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Callers will be able to offer comments directly to the assessment team about the Lebanon Police Department. The telephone number for the session is 603-448-8800. When calling, explain that you are looking to be connected to the CALEA assessor.
