[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Needed for West Lebanon Revitalization Advisory Committee

Be A Voice in Your Community banner

The Lebanon City Council recently established an advisory committee to achieve the goal of developing plans for the revitalization and redevelopment of the Central Business District area of West Lebanon. There will be an emphasis on the plans for: the Westboro Yard; City-owned property at 3 Seminary Hill; Streetscape improvements; a “Bridge Park”; and potential development of parallel connecting roadways to Main Street.

As part of the City of Lebanon’s Master Plan, the West Lebanon Central Business District chapter states: “Downtown West Lebanon shall be a vibrant village – a crossroads where residents and visitors work, meet, shop and share in a good quality life and a firm sense of community and belonging. The City of Lebanon seeks to promote and enhance downtown West Lebanon as a historic center offering a ‘small-town’ atmosphere, serving the commercial, service, and recreational needs of residents in surrounding neighborhoods, and providing opportunities for professional and similar businesses seeking the benefits of a downtown location.”

Do you have a vision for Downtown West Lebanon? Can you picture a perfect “small town” atmosphere? Or perhaps you have ideas for a park, updated streetscapes, or other developments and improvements. If so, and you reside in or own a business in Ward 1, please consider volunteering and serving on the West Lebanon Revitalization Advisory Committee. We are currently seeking three residents AND three business owners of Ward 1 to serve alongside representatives from the City Council, Planning Board, and Economic Development Commission. We are eager to fill these positions and bring your plans to fruition; please apply today!
