Employees of the Lebanon Department of Public Works got a sneak peek at the Lebanon Middle School’s LEGO Robotics team, “Driver’s Animal Alert” presentation in November. The DPW employees provided feedback to the students in preparation for the Dartmouth LEGO Robotics tournament.
In an email to Assistant Public Works Director Bruce Temple, Coach George Galev thanked the department, stating that “the opportunity [DPW] provided to the kids to present in front of subject matter experts in a business conference room [was] invaluable and had a great impact on their ability to convey a problem with a high visibility, and to articulate a fairly simple solution.”
The students took home the Robot Design Award and were selected to advance to the State Tournament among other 6 out of 14 teams in early December.
Way to go LMS Robotics Team and thank you DPW employees for taking the time to help out.
