On February 23, 2021, at 3:38 PM, Lebanon Police Department responded to Walmart for a report of a male and female in the store acting high and being loud. The male was also reported to have a handgun in his back pocket. Officers arrived to speak with the male and female and noticed the handgun in the male’s possession. Officers removed a .38 loaded revolver from the male.
The male initially provided the officers with a false name, but he was later identified as Peter Wiggins, age 38, of White River Junction, VT. Wiggins was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, a Class B Felony. Wiggins was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. It was also found that Wiggins had a warrant issued for his arrest for Controlled Drug Acts Prohibited. Wiggins was released on Personal Recognizance bail and to be determined court date in the Grafton County Superior Court.
