Starting around 8 am Sunday April 11, 2021 the Lebanon Fire Department will be conducting live fire training at a vacant structure on Fellows Hill. At times heavy black smoke may be visible in the area of Route 4, Riverside Dr., Stoney Brook Rd., and Exit 17 I-89 corridor. Acquired structures are an extremely valuable tool for firefighters to train in the most realistic environment that they will encounter in real structure fire emergencies. These scenarios are expected to last throughout the morning and into early afternoon. The opportunity for this type of training is a rare occurrence, it is only made possible by the generosity of local homeowners who donate buildings when they are no longer habitable. As always, the Lebanon Fire Department appreciates our communities continued support and understanding as we strive to be the most prepared and professional organization for the safety of the city and all its residents.
