On Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, approximately 19 volunteers participated in a project to install bog bridges on the Lakeside Trail within Boston Lot Conservation Area. The bridges are designed to assist foot traffic during wet conditions, both minimizing trail erosion and keeping one’s feet dry!
The effort was spearheaded as a partnership between the Lebanon Conservation Commission and the Lebanon and Hanover Rotary Clubs. Volunteers included members of the Commission, Upper Valley residents, and members of the Upper Valley Mountain Bike Association. Emeritus Ranger Ron Bailey served as the project coordinator, providing good project morale for all!
