The Lebanon Police Cyber Crimes Unit had been investigating through a social media provider targeting individuals who were looking to victimize children.
Lebanon Police Officers engaged in a conversation via social media with a male who later arrived at a location to meet a person he thought was a juvenile for sexual acts on November 19, 2021. He was identified as Jacob Myers, age 33, from North Haverhill, NH.
Lebanon Police took Myers into custody and charged him with Certain Uses of Computer Services Prohibited, Attempted Felonious Sexual Assault, and Attempted Endangering Welfare of a Child, all Class B Felonies. Myers was held in preventative detention and will be arraigned in the Grafton County Superior Court on November 19, 2021.
The Lebanon Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit will continue to prosecute those who use the internet to sexually exploit children. The Lebanon Police Department is an affiliate of the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (ICAC).
