On December 12, 2021, the Lebanon Police Department responded to a residence on West Street for a report of an accidental gunshot wound. Upon the Officers arrival, they located a woman with a gunshot wound to her leg.
Officers conducted an investigation, revealing that the woman was accidentally shot by her boyfriend, identified as Thomas Dumphy, age 25, of Lebanon NH. The woman was transported by the Lebanon Fire Department to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Dumphy was arrested pursuant to a warrant on December 20, 2021 and charged with Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon, a Class B Felony. Dumphy was later released on Personal Recognizance bail with a Grafton County Superior Court date for January 6, 2022.
