Have you heard? The Lebanon Recreation, Arts, and Parks Department have a brand new garage at Civic Memorial Park that will serve to hold much of the equipment that is used to maintain all of the fields and parks in Lebanon including maintenance vehicles and the Lebanon Recreation van. You can view all of the parks and facilities at https://lebanonnh.gov/391/Parks-Facilities.
Changes at Civic Memorial Park include the new garage with solar, a new restroom and storage for coaches/sports equipment, as well as a drinking fountain with a bottler filler to be installed. Much of this work is still in progress and we ask that folks park in designated spaces on Crawford Avenue. As we continue with site work installing ADA accessible sidewalks, finishing the parking lot off Aldrich Road, and beautification around the new facility we ask for your patience.
While additional work is being done to complete the new Civic garage the right equipment being available on-site has allowed for a delayed project to be completed. The Civic Memorial Park Playground is long past its lifespan. Playgrounds are made to withstand 15 years of use. At this time as of today April 19, the slides/climbing structure, and tire swing will be removed, but the green swingset structure passes a playground safety inspection. Plans for Civic Memorial Park playground and a new installation have not been made at this time. If you are interested in being involved in any part of the new playground process send an email to recreation@LebanonNH.gov or call 603-448-5121 and you can speak with anyone in the Recreation Office to be added to a group list.
