[ARCHIVED] Filing Period for September 13, 2022 NH State Primary

The filing period for the September 13, 2022, NH State Primary will begin on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, and will end on Friday, June 10, 2022. 

If you are a resident of Lebanon or West Lebanon and would like to file for Representative to the General Court (commonly referred to as a State Representative) OR as a delegate to the Republican State Convention, please file with the Lebanon City Clerk's Office during regular business hours. Filings for the NH State Primary can only be accepted for Republican or Democratic candidates. To file as a candidate in the November 8, 2022, General Election from a political organization, (such as Independent or Libertarian) you must file with the Secretary of State in Concord, NH. 

Please be advised, that we are closed on Fridays. Therefore, we will not be accepting filings on Friday, June 3rd. However, the office WILL be open on Friday, June 10th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM for the purpose of accepting filings ONLY. No other business will be conducted that day.  Filings made on Friday, June 10th must be IN PERSON by the candidate. 

The filing fee for a Representative to the General Court is $2.00. In lieu of the filing fee, a candidate must file 5 primary petitions with an Assent to Candidacy form. There is no filing fee or required petitions for Delegates to the Republican State Convention. Filing forms require notarization, so please remember to bring proof of identity. 

To file for County or State offices, you must file with the Secretary of State in Concord, NH.
