Posted on: June 7, 2022[ARCHIVED] Spencer St. Construction Update
The Northern Rail Trail (NRT) will be closed from Spencer Street to Bank Street Ext. beginning the week of June 6 through June 24 (subject to change), except for Father’s Day weekend, at which time the NRT will be temporarily opened for public use. A bike/pedestrian detour will be provided, including detour signage during the NRT closure period. Contractors will be performing drainage improvements and paving work along this portion of the NRT during this timeframe.
Spencer Street will receive final pavement the week of June 27, weather dependent. This work will be one of the final items to be competed to prevent inadvertent damage of the final pavement surface by construction equipment.
