The City of Lebanon is in the final stages of building out broadband connections to roads and properties that lack high-speed internet. It's not too late to get on board!
If you live on Great Brook Road, Farr Road, Storrs Road, Hardy Hill Road, Sunset Rock Road, Poverty Lane, or Stevens Road and have not heard from (or reached out to) Comcast, now is the time. Comcast is extending its cable lines on those roads and will have to stop construction when the ground freezes. The project is scheduled for completion by December 2022.
As a reminder, the service connections are FREE and property owners are not under obligation to subscribe to Comcast; agreement to the new connection simply equips your property for access to high-speed internet when you or future homeowners are interested and this can be valuable from a real estate perspective, in particular. Note: a service connection request beyond this project can cost thousands of dollars, but with ARRA funds and under the current partnership, the City is able to help close the coverage gap. In other words, this is a one-time opportunity that is about to expire!
Letters were mailed to property owners in the project area earlier this year but if you did not receive one, are a new property owner, or have not authorized your connection yet, please contact Associate Planner Rebecca Owens at Rebecca.Owens@lebanonnh.gov or by calling 603-442-6138.
