Corporal Michael Wright and Special Officer Peter Begin were honored to escort bikes as part of the 7th Annual Wounded Vet Run in Everett, Massachusetts on May 21, 2017. The Wounded Vet Run is a Police, Fire and Veteran sanctioned event and an estimated 10,000 bikes participated at this year’s run in Boston.
Each year a select few are honored in Boston’s Wounded Vet Run and this year, Specialist Brandon Boyd was one of those honored. Specialist Boyd is from Lebanon and we were proud to be able to escort the bikes on behalf of his hometown. “Specialist Brandon Boyd served in the U.S. Army as an infantryman during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Due to injuries he sustained in combat, Brandon must also rely on a wheelchair because of a spinal injury.” A hundred percent of money raised from this event goes to the wounded Veterans or charities of their choosing.
We wish Specialist Boyd and his family the best and thank him for his service.
