On Friday, November 4, 2022, at 7:12 AM, the Lebanon Police Department and Lebanon Fire Department responded to a call about a motor vehicle collision on Dartmouth College Highway in Lebanon. The investigation found that a tractor trailer was traveling westbound when an oncoming eastbound vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and collided with the tractor trailer.
When emergency services arrived on scene it was found that the male driver of the vehicle traveling eastbound sustained serious injuries. The male was identified as Steven Edson, age 27, from West Lebanon, NH. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured. Edson was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for his injuries.
Edson is being charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon, Driving After Suspended License, and Possession of Controlled Drugs, all Class B Felonies. Edson was also charged with Open Container, and Possession of Marijuana, all Violation level offenses. Edson is scheduled to be arraigned in the Grafton County Superior Court on December 8, 2022.
