During the early morning of June 10, 2017, an employee of a local convenience store called the Lebanon Police Department with concerns about a man who was staggering and appeared to be under the influence. The employee provided the police with a license plate of the vehicle and the direction it was seen leaving the store. Shortly after, officers located the vehicle traveling North on Interstate 89 and conducted a traffic stop. Officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Ryan Sharkey, age 35, of Lebanon, NH. Sharkey was found to have a parole warrant and was driving on a suspended license. While officers were speaking with Sharkey, he attempted to conceal a bundle of heroin.
Sharkey was arrested for the Parole Warrant, Driving after Suspension, a Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Heroin, Methamphetamine and Cocaine, all Class B Felonies, and Driving Under the Influence, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Sharkey refused the services of a Bail Commissioner and was transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections and will be arraigned today, 6/12/17, at the Grafton County Superior Court.
