Fireworks are synonymous with our celebration of Independence Day. Yet, the thrill of fireworks can also bring pain. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, over 230 people on average go the emergency room every day with fireworks-related injuries in the month around the July 4th holiday. 


The Lebanon Fire Department would like to remind all residents and visitors that, per City of Lebanon Code Section 72-13, the display, sale, and discharge of Class 1.4G fireworks within the City of Lebanon, New Hampshire is strictly prohibited.


1.4G fireworks consumer fireworks include: 

  • any type of firecracker 
  • bottle rocket 
  • missile 
  • skyrocket 
  • handheld fountains 
  • any device that produces solely smoke 

Please enjoy the City of Lebanon professional fireworks display on Tuesday, July 4th at dusk at the Storrs Hill Ski area.
