On June 27, 2017 at approximately 4:00pm, investigators from the Attorney General’s Drug Task Force (DTF) and Lebanon Officers arrested two men during a drug deal at a local pharmacy in Lebanon.
The Drug Task Force was investigating information they had received from Hartford, Vermont Police about a man, Jason Laro of Lebanon, NH, who was believed to be traveling to Holyoke, Massachusetts to pick up a quantity of heroin and bring it back to the Upper Valley. The DTF located Laro’s car as it returned to Lebanon. While they were waiting for the Lebanon Police to respond to the area, they witnessed the suspect meet with another male and watched as there was an exchange. Officers moved in and detained both men. The other male, Tory Roberts, of Lebanon, NH admitted to purchasing heroin from Laro and turned over 40 bags of heroin. Both Roberts and Laro were arrested. Approximately 140 more bags of heroin were located in Laro’s car.
Roberts was charged with a B Felony count of Possession of a Controlled Drug. He was arraigned at the Grafton County Superior Court on July 10 and released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail. Laro was charged with B Felony counts of Sale of Controlled Drugs and Possession of Controlled Drugs in a Motor Vehicle with the intent to sell. He was arraigned at the Grafton County Superior Court on June 28 and held on $10,000 cash only bail.
