On Friday, October 27, 2023, at approximately 3:00 AM, the Lebanon Police Department responded to a call about individuals misusing construction equipment on 343 Mount Support Road.
Upon arrival, Officers heard construction machinery being operated. As the Officers approached the machines, two individuals attempted to flee on foot, however, Officers apprehended them.
One of the individuals was a seventeen- year-old juvenile and the other was identified as Micah Hawxhurst, age 18, from Haverhill, NH.
During the investigation of the scene, Officers noted extensive damage done to construction equipment and building supplies, which were located outside. There was an apartment building onsite, which was under construction, and inside of that building it was discovered that a fire had been started inside one of the rooms and fire extinguishers had been discharged on the third floor.
Hawxhurst was placed under arrest and transported to the Lebanon Police Department. While at the Lebanon Police Department, Hawxhurst damaged a building ventilation cover. The seventeen-year-old juvenile was released back to his parents.
Hawxhurst was charged with Arson and Burglary, both Class A Felonies, Burglary, Class B Felony, and also charged with Resisting Arrest, a Class A Misdemeanor. Hawxhurst was held on preventative detention and will be arraigned in the Grafton County Superior Court on Friday, October 27, 2023.
