James Sampson, age 32, of Canaan, NH and Eduardo Moran, age 30, of Lebanon, NH, were arrested after a lengthy investigation into 16 pounds of marijuana being sent through the mail to a residence in Lebanon from California. Lebanon Police were initially alerted by the San Luis Obispo County, California Sheriff’s Department.
Lebanon Police Detectives, along with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force, arranged for a controlled delivery which led to the search of Moran’s residence.
Lebanon Police Detective Division continued to investigate and gather enough information for several more search warrants to be granted. Arrest warrants were ultimately issued for both Sampson and Moran.
James Sampson was arrested on September 26th and held on $10,000 cash bail. He was charged with a Class B Felony charge of Conspiracy to Commit Distribution of a Controlled Drug. Sampson was arraigned on September 28th in the Grafton County Superior Court and released on $10,000 cash or surety bail.
Eduardo Moran was arrested on September 27th and held on $10,000 cash bail. He was charged with Class B Felony counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug and Conspiracy to Commit Distribution of a Controlled Drug. He was arraigned in the Grafton County Superior Court and released on $3,000 cash or surety bail.
