During the month of October, the Lebanon Police Department will be increasing motor vehicle enforcement patrols. These patrols are an effort to reduce traffic crashes and help address daily reported citizen concerns about the vehicles that travel on our roads. These will consist of high visibility saturation patrols using marked and unmarked patrol cars. Patrols will be during identified times of day and concentrated along the routes where the most crashes occur in the City, the main commuter routes and shopping areas. These high visibility patrols will be targeting motor vehicle violations that increase the risk of a crash which include speed, following too closely, stop light and sign violations, along with distracted driving habits such as texting and other cell phone use.
