[ARCHIVED] Information Regarding Motor Vehicle Software Error

As a result of a software update conducted in October, we have discovered inconsistencies with the amount due on some November motor vehicle renewal letters. The discrepancy has only occurred on the renewal notices that were mailed. Subscribers to our online renewal program, Invoice Cloud, received e-reminders for the correct amount due.

Unfortunately, we do not have the capability to identify which residents received notices with errors. To better assist our residents whose registrations will expire in November, please read the following tips:

  1. You can pay online through the Invoice Cloud program with the PIN number found on your renewal letter. The amounts listed in Invoice Cloud are correct. There are no additional processing fees when you pay with your checking account information (routing and account number.) However, credit and debit cards will be assessed a processing fee of 2.95%.
  2. If you plan to process your registration through the mail, you are encouraged to please submit your payment prior to November 20th and provide a day-time phone number. That way, should a discrepancy arise, we are able to promptly contact you for a corrected payment amount before your registration is expired.
  3. If you plan to visit our office in person and pay by check, do not fill out your check ahead of time. Instead, please wait until we process your transaction before you complete your check.
  4. You can verify your amount due by contacting our office and providing your plate number(s). We can be reached during regular business hours at 603-448-3054. You can also send an inquiry via email to cityclerk@lebcity.com.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this software error.  While there is not a time frame for the correction to be made, we are working diligently with our software provider to correct this issue for future mailings.
