[ARCHIVED] 2016 Historic Survey Report (The Reconnaissance Survey of Historic Resources)

Historic preservation consultants Lyssa Papazian and Scott Newman have completed an expansive historic survey of the City. Titled “Lebanon, New Hampshire Reconnaissance Survey of Historic Resources”, the 2-volume report creates a comprehensive inventory of the City’s historic resources and neighborhoods, including written histories, high resolution color photos of historic buildings, and individual building data including architect, date of construction, and architectural style. The “Reconnaissance Survey” consolidates all prior historic reports and is intended to serve as a “one-stop” resource for information on the City’s historic resources.

Ms. Papazian and Mr. Newman were hired by the City in April with funding made possible by a $26,000 grant awarded by the New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources. The report was prepared in consultation with the Heritage Commission and with the assistance of Planning Department staff. It is expected to be formally adopted by the Heritage Commission in February. Copies of the report are available for viewing at the Planning Department and can be viewed by clicking below.
