On April 12, 2018 at approximately 3:30AM, Lebanon Police received a report of a male subject who had jumped out of a vehicle on Interstate 89 near Exit 17 and was threatening “suicide by police.” It was also learned that the male had punched the windshield of his mother’s car, causing damage and was possibly armed with a knife. The male was identified as Ryan Darrell, age 30, of Main Street in Grafton, New Hampshire.
Darrell was later located walking on Bank Street. Darrell refused to stop for officers and was given repeated commands to comply and that he was under arrest. Darrell was non-compliant and initially refused to show officers his hands. After a brief stand-off, Darrell finally complied with officer’s commands and was arrested without injury or further incident.
Darrell was charged with Resisting Arrest or Detention and Domestic related Criminal Mischief, both Class A Misdemeanor offenses.
Bail was set at $1,500 cash and Darrell was transported to the Grafton County House of Correction pending arraignment in the 2nd Circuit, Lebanon District Court on Monday May 14, 2018.
