We are looking for volunteer board members to serve on the following City Boards:
Zoning Board of Adjustment – Alternate members are needed. The Zoning Board's primary job is to hear and decide requests for Variances from the Zoning Ordinance. As such, the Zoning Board is a quasi-judicial body and plays a critical role in balancing the needs of the community with private property rights. The Zoning Board also hears requests for Special Exceptions as allowed by the Zoning Ordinance, as well as appeals from administrative decisions made by City staff regarding the interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance of which property owners or any other affected person disagrees. While the commitment is relatively light (the Board only meets once a month), the impact of the Zoning Board’s decision-making is momentous.

Downtown Lebanon TIF Advisory Board - This is a new board that has been established for the purpose of advising the City Council and the TIF (Tax Increment Financing) District Administrator on the policies and actions for the administration of the newly developed TIF District related to planning, construction, implementation and maintenance of the TIF District Development Program. Membership is needed by property owners or occupants of property within or adjacent to the district and citizen representatives who do not own or occupy real property within or adjacent to the district.
