Starting at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018, a public hearing will be held on the 2019 City Budget as proposed by the City Manager at City Hall, 51 North Park Street, Lebanon, New Hampshire. Action by the City Council will follow. Citizens are encouraged to attend the public hearing, to provide written and oral comments, and ask questions. A copy of the proposed budget may be obtained from the City Manager’s office or accessed online at LebanonNH.gov/Budget.
The estimated 2019 Municipal Tax Rate is $11.24 per $1,000 of assessed real estate value, an increase of $0.27 or 2.5% from 2018. A single-family home assessed for $250,000 will have an estimated 2019 municipal tax bill of about $2,810, an increase of $68. Four rates make up the Total Tax Rate: Municipal, School: Local and State and County. This budget concerns the Municipal Tax Rate. Increases of 8.0% and 7.2% to water and sewer service rates, respectively, contingent on City Council approval scheduled for consideration December 5, are factored into the budget.
