Charge of lots. The following prices are established as the purchase prices for cemetery lots and for required contributions to the Cemetery Maintenance Special Revenue Fund. (Cemetery Maintenance Special Revenue Fund payment is 50% of a grave lot cost): [City Code, Chapter 46, Cemeteries, Effective 6-1-2022 by Ord. No. 2021-16]
(1) Each full grave (with permanent outside container): *Resident - $700 (Grave lot cost is $350; Cemetery Maintenance Special Revenue Fund is $350); Non-resident - $1400 (Grave lot cost is $700; Cemetery Maintenance Special Revenue Fund is $700)
(2) Each infant grave: *Resident - $300 (Grave lot cost is $150; Cemetery Maintenance Special Revenue Fund is $150) (applies to Glenwood and Valley Cemeteries only in the areas specifically laid out for infant burials); Non-resident - $600 (Grave lot cost is $300; Cemetery Maintenance Special Revenue Fund is $300)
(3) Each cremation grave (in-ground or columbarium): Resident - $300 (Grave lot cost is $150; Cemetery Maintenance Special Revenue Fund is $125) (applies only in the cemetery areas specifically laid out for cremation burials); Non-resident - $600 (Grave lot cost is $300; Cemetery Maintenance Special Revenue Fund is $300)
(4) Cremations. In the case of cremation interment, the following provisions shall apply:
(a) Minimum purchase is one grave space. Maximum number of cremation-type interments shall be six (6) per grave space (except in the case of combining full and cremation burials in which only one full burial and five cremation burials per grave will be allowed).
(b) For Columbarium Niche interment, minimum purchase is one niche space. Maximum number of interments is two (2) per niche.
*Documentation to show residency may include a most recent tax bill, vehicle registration, driver’s license (must include a physical address), non-driver/state-issued photo identification card, utility bill, signed lease agreement, or other evidence deemed adequate by the Cemetery Sexton.
