Biography
Mr. Brooks joined the City in 2005 as an Associate Planner. He was promoted to Senior Planner in 2008 and became the Director of Planning and Zoning in 2014. and He was promoted to Deputy City Manager in September 2022.
Before coming to Lebanon, Mr. Brooks was the Zoning Administrator for the Town of Barnard, Vermont. He also worked for Land Marks, a private consulting firm specializing in Planning, Design, and Permitting in eastern Long Island, New York from 1999 to 2003. While completing a graduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Mr. Brooks worked for the City of Portland, Oregon, the Blaine County (Idaho) Housing Authority, and the City of Sherwood, Oregon.
Mr. Brooks holds the following degrees:
o Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina, December 1993.
o Master of Urban and Regional Planning, Portland State University, Portland, Oregon, April 1999.
Outside of work, his interests include golf, hiking, skiing, and travel.
